IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS UNDERGOING MEDICAL REGISTRATION
The management of Federal University Oye Ekiti, FUOYE, has helped the newly admitted students in securing accommodation where they can stay as they undergo their medical screening amidst ASUU STRIKE.
The students who were informed about the medical screening which started this week were perplexed because they had no where to stay because most of the stylites of the institutions have vacated their apartment which would have been an avenue for receiving the fresh students.
In lieu with the ongoing strike the management of FUOYE, met with the authorities of a private hostel within the school where they made agreement on how the new students can be accommodated.

“As part of our mandates and responsibilities, the leadership of the Union ably led by Comrade Salahudeen Teslim Ayowale, yesterday 11th of May 2022 attended the university management meeting alongside Mr Johnson Adeyemo, Student affair officer of the University on how the better welfare and security of our members can beI’ll guaranteed amidst ASUU strike where staylites are not on campus to accommodate the new intakes in line with the culture and practices.
Due to this, the university management in collaboration with B’VER hostel has agreed to temporarily lease B’VER HOSTEL, a private hostel inside the University’s main campus in Oye -Ekiti (Opposite the female hostel in phase 2).
This is necessary to enhance security and also ensure the better welfare of the new intakes while on campus doing their medical screening.
Below is the breakdown of the weekly payment per bed space
- 4 bedded room, N3,500 per week for a bed space
- 6 bedded room, N2,800 per week for a bed space
- 8 bedded room, N2,250 per week for a bed space
- It does not matter if a student spends 3 or 4 days
