NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL: 1,326 out of 5,770 fail bar exams

The Council of Legal Education of the Nigerian Law School has released the examination statistics for the 2021 final bar examinations and, of the 5,770 students who sat for the exams, 1,326 candidates failed the exams.

Out of the 5,770 candidates, 20 students representing (0.07%) made first-class while 432 (7.49%) and 2,172 (37.64%) students made Second Class (Upper Division) and Second Class (Lower Division) respectively. 1,725 (29.90%) made pass.

35 (0.61%) Students have a conditional pass, 60 (1.04%) students were absent, while 1,326 (22.98%) failed.

The results were also approved at the Council’s meeting and the 27th and 28th July 2021 were picked for the call to Bar.

This year’s outcome is the highest figure of students who failed the exams since 2017.
