FUOYE Bans Signing Off Ceremony For Final Year Students On Campus, Gives Reasons

The Management of Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has threatened to withdraw the studentship of any student who fail to adhere to the latest institution’s mandate, which stops the signing off celebration of final year students in the campus.

In an internal memorandum dated 28th, July 2023, signed by the Dean of Students’Affairs, Prof, Dosumu Malomo.

“It has come to the notice of the management that the signing off ceremony of final year Students usually involves some activities that are not in line with the regulations guiding Students’ activities on campus.
Consequently the following activities are banned on campus

The use of motorcade by final year students during signing off

The use of sound system on campus during signing off
Wearing of confraternity colours while signing off.
Therefore, all celebrations related to signing off after second semester examination should be held outside the campus. The studentship of any student that violates the above instructions will be withdrawn”.
