FACTS ABOUT UNILAG HOSTEL ALLOCATION- A MUST READ FOR ALL FRESHERS

Congratulations to all admited students. I decided to share this post so as to enlighten you on how hostel allocation and balloting in Unilag works. It’s obvious that after registering your courses,  you would be given your matric number and hall of residence which would be permanent through out your stay in the University .
However,  the Dsa is of the responsibility to announce the date for balloting for all students.  The returning students are to ballot first, then the space available will be left opened for freshers to ballot for.  At this point, the list of Unilag hostel would be available on the portal. You are required to choose any of the hostel of your choice you want BEDSPACE.  Note, when it says no space available, click on another hall,  you might be lucky to get. Once you get, that hall would be your permanent hall.  For example if your permanent hall was Kofo and on the day of BALLOTING you got moremi,  your permanent hall of residence changes to moremi.
Feel free to drop your hall of residence using the comments box and let us have fun.
