ABUAD, renowned for uninterrupted Academic Calendar, qualitative and functional education, has decided to further enhance the Academic and professional quality of ABUAD-trained Medical Doctors by introducing Intercalated Degree Programme for ABUAD Medical students beginning from 2021/2022 Academic Session.

MBBS students, instead of spending six (6) years, will spend additional one year and obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following areas: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology.

The Intercalated Programme will afford the candidates the opportunity of having an Academic career progression leading to their becoming University Professors and Consultants. This is the practice in top Medical Colleges in advanced countries of the world and it is also captured in NUC proposal.

ABUAD Medical students presently in 300 Level and who wish to take advantage of the Intercalated Degree Programme will write the Bachelor of Science Degree Examination in their chosen field when they are in 400 Level. They will thereafter proceed to complete their Medical Programme.
